PEESLEVILLE CEMETERY ENCOUNTER
An intelligent haunting is a spirit that is aware of us and fully capable of interacting with us. They truely are intelligent entities that can think and act of their own free will. They know we're there and that we are trying to communicate with them, and they actively respond to us. In our research we've come across a few of these spirits in our cemetery hunts. At my fathers grave he spoke and said angie twice. Angie is my wife and my father loved her dearly, it was his only daughter as my father had three boys. Our groups most amazing intelligent haunting, or as I would refer to it as contact with the other side, was at peasleville cemetery on 11/25/07. The team on this investigation consisted of me, Angie, Todd and his wife Loraine. About 14 mins into the hunt we came to a head stone which read Cora Johnson wife of Rendal Denton feb.14 1872 to dec. 28 1901. at rest. Cora past at 29 young years old and on that night as I kneeled down on her grave and read her stone, I asked her "Cora are you with me?" She responded before the question was asked and right after the question very vocally, "With you withhh you." As I stood up I asked my wife as she snapped her second picture "Is she with me?" My wife responded "No, but she was." refering to the orb in the previous picture she took. "So she was with me?" at which point Cora responded again on my recorder "Yesss." When I got home and listened to my recorder I was amazed to hear her response. Here was a spirit that had past away almost a 106 years ago. I knew our crew had to return and the date would be specificly dec. 28th, the day she would be gone exactly 106yrs. It was cold that night at about 10 degree's and we couldn't pull in to the cemetery as there was about 6 inch's of snow on the ground and we parked on the oppisite side of the cemetery as we did the first time, only this time we parked on the road because the cemetery doesn't get plowed. On our return we brought Cora flowers and waded threw the thick snow trying to relocate her burial plot. When we found it, I kneeled down on her grave and put the four flowers against her stone. We got an evp that said "Angie didn't love you." from Cora, which was true. Angie, my wife grew to love me. I also asked her to give us a sign she was with us, and Angie took a picture of a strong mist that was present around Cora's headstone. I also talked to her telling her "you were aweful young, only 29yrs old." She responded "Yes, I am." proving Cora still is living in some sense based on her present tense choice of word am, not was. Todd also took a good mist picture as I stood up from her grave that surrounded me. When we got home there were two more evps that seemed to come from her. The first one was when we were near the car and I asked one last time "Cora are you with me?" She responded "all for me." When we got home and I was reviewing my recordings, I got an evp that said "Tell my husband, I love you, I love you" Rendal did remarry a women named mabel and they were buried together, so he is not with Cora. Cora is definetely an intelligent haunting, but haunting she is not. She is someone we would call a freind, and we plan on returning on her birthday, which falls on valentines day. We will bring flowers and a small gift to show her we are thankful she has contacted us and grateful for her spirit letting us know that there is more beyond life than death, even a 106yrs later. TODD'S EVP FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE
Northern NY Paranormal Group was asked to investigate Lake City Skate a local skating rink in Plattsburgh NY which was owned by Mike & Leora Drew .The skating rink was previously a plastics manufacturing plant . It consisted of a large roller skating area an eating area and dance area, there were three rooms total. The Drews were selling the rink after owning it for 10 + yrs. and were looking for some answers to paranormal activity they experienced over the years.
ON Dec 17th 2007 NNYPG met at 7:00 pm. ready to investigate. After talking to the owners , Mr & Mrs Drew, we got a quick history of the building and heard stories about "Ronnie" a previous employee who has since passed away.Ronnie's job was to hand out the skates to the kids . He would also help kids learn to skate according to the owner. Ronnie is thought to be the cause of items reportedly being moved from one place to another between locking up at night and opening the next day. During the course of the investigation Travis' video recorder (which was placed in the dance room) had it's batteries drain almost immediately. We also got a very interesting photo of an ectoplasm with a red light accompanying it. (see photo below) This was the area where "Ronnie" worked. The guys on the right were calling "Ronnie's name" when this picture was taken.
This hunt also revealed an amazing electronic voice phenomenon or E.V.P. for short . They are believed to be voices of the dead and are caught on digital or analog recording devices . E.V.P 's can't be heard by human ears due to the frequency range in which we are able to hear, although the recorder is able to pick this frequency up.
I believe that I was given a personal message for my mother from my great aunt who had died three weeks earlier. She was my mothers favorite aunt.
